After Christmas news

Had a good Christmas, just seemed like it came too fast and I wasn't prepared for it. The bad thing is I didn't take a single picture, what kind of scrapbooker am I???? Haven't taken down the tree, it was only decorated because the kids we had staying out our house while we were at the IL's decorated it for me. Opened Christmas present on Christmas Eve because the kids bought their own presents, and they knew what they were getting. What a bad MOM I am. Busy at work, makes MOM a bad MOM.

Here are some pictures of Allison in Tennesse that I promised a while ago.

Have a Happy New Year.

Brandon's 18th Birthday

I forgot to mention Brandon's birthday on December 3. He got Guitar Hero III for his XBox 360. He then went and got another tatoo on his other arm. Still haven't taken him out to eat his Birthday dinner. Don't know why him turning 18 is hard on me, could be that it will not be long before he is out of the house, or maybe it is the fact that I am getting old.

Got the Christmas tree up. Decorating is tomorrow.

Long time

It has been a long time since I have had time to blog. Allison went to Sevierville TN for another dance competition. They came in 3rd place. But their competition was extremely good, their coaches finally realized they needed to bump it up 2 or 3 notches. It was a tiring trip but fun.

Still have yet to put the tree up. Will do tomorrow or I will be lying on this post. Just not in the Christmas spirit so far this year. I will eventually have it, but it will be late as with everything I have been doing.

Haven't had time to scrap but hopefully once the New Year comes around, there will be time for that.

Will have photos of Allison in Sevierville Events Center on a later post. We had fun, with her posing and me playing photographer. I think they came out looking good, but have to down load them to the computer yet.

Same old thing, going to the in-laws. Wanting to make our own Thanksgiving dinner. Michael and I haven't done that for 6 year now. Would truly love to be able to have some of our friends over for Thanksgiving. Will be thinking of my parents. Wish they could come one year and spend Thanksgiving with us. It has been 6 years since they have spent Thanksgiving with us. Just seems like a sad time of year. Guess I should be thankful that my kids and Michael will be there. Who cares about everyone else.

Here is something I did with my name from Blogthings.

What Natalie Means

N is for Naughty

A is for Astounding

T is for Tricky

A is for Amazing

L is for Loud

I is for Innocent

E is for Ebullient

Here is another layout. This one is with Allison and Sherre.

Well, Thursday Allison had her belly button pierced and Brandon got a tattoo. I think the belly button piercing is better than the tattoo. I wasn't there for either one, but apparently Allison went all drama queen on the Doc. She said she was going to die from the piercing, asked the Doc to be put to sleep so she wouldn't feel anything. Made both Michael and the Doc laugh. It came out looking really good. Signed for Brandon to get the tattoo, since he doesn't turn 18 for a couple of weeks. It came out pretty good, just a little big for my taste, but then again, he is a big kid.

Found out Allison had Mono. Yeah!!! NOT!!!! She hadn't been feeling well for about 2 weeks and one of her friends found out they had mono so, thought she should be check. Once again drama queen appeared. The same Doc checked her for this. When the nurse came in to prick her finger, she hid in the corner and said it would hurt. She thought this was the best part of seeing the doc when she was little. The nurse puts a band aid on it after wards and left. Allison looks at her finger and can see the blood through the bandage. Now she thinks she is going to bleed to death from a finger prick. She say "I am serious Mom, I am going to die". Yeah right Allison. The Doc comes in and tells her she is positive for mono. She asks if Allison has gotten the flu mist. I say yes and explain how difficult that was. So the Doc asks "How do you do it", Allison then goes into explaining how you do the flu mist. She is a Doc and knows how to do the mist. She is talking to me and how can I put up with Allison. Has us all laughing. When you have a Drama Queen in the house you just know and expect certain things. Drama being the main thing.
Here is a few of my older layouts.

Pain in the Back

I can't believe I messed up my back by bending over to pick up my cell phone, but sure enough, that is what happened. Tried going to work yesterday and only lasted until 4:00. This morning isnt any better, it didn't hurt until I tried to get ready and the pain was worse than yesterday. Couldn't get an appointment with the doc until tomorrow morning at 9:30.

Allison got into a fight at school, got a knot on her head, took her to the doc and she said everything was fine. Just watch out for dizzy spells, vomiting and pupils that were different sizes. I think she was more upset that a supposed friend is the one that fought her.

Saturday's trip to Nashville was a pain in the butt. I got Michael lost more times than I could count. We found out we could have made the trip Sunday morning and saved $300. But oh well, that is life and we live and learn. The hall didn't have handicap parking, so Michael had to walk up hill two city blocks, and then once inside the hall had to walk to the second floor. He is still recovering from that. Glad I went and moved the truck so that he didn't have to walk all the way down to blocks. Allison's team came in second. I think they deserved first. We didn't get home until midnight. Allison ended up with a cold and stayed home Monday. No school Tuesday because of elections.

I need to take some pictures of the trees changing colors. We have lived in this house for 5 years and this is the first time the oak hasn't froze and turned brown. It is beautiful this year, even though it has been really cold.

Feeling better

Started this week off feeling good and seemingly getting better until I woke up Friday morning and I have a terrible case of the stomach flu. Not good. It wasn't just the stomach flu, it was a migraine from hell and back, feeling like my brain was going to explode out of my eyes, ears, and the top of my head. Body aching like I got hit by a truck and left for dead. Thank goodness today I am doing better just tired as ever, just doing the little things wears me out. Back and right shoulder are still hurting, but doing so much better.

Here is a couple of pages I have done in the last couple of weeks.

Rockstar was done for Scrappy Giraffe's Scrap that Tune Contest. Thought it was a good title for Brandon playing his Guitar Hero. Since he never lets me take his picture, I got him when he didn't want to move and mess up his game.

Your Beautiful is Week 2 in Scrap that Tune. We had to do a hand cut title and this one took all day because I cut the green patterned paper and it didn't look complete so I mounted it on the red cardstock and had to cut it again. I think it came out looking Christmasy, but that is just me.

Another week gone

Started out this week with an awful and I mean awful cold. Didn't go to work most of the week because of it. Thursday had to take Michael to the VA, but he will start new medicine that will help with his arms and legs becoming to stiff. That is positive news and we are hoping that they will do the trick. We have 2 months before we head back and see if there is anything else they can do for him.

Allison's dance team did excellent today in Powell County. The placed 1st in their division and 1st overall. I think they really out danced the other teams. I will admit when another team is better, but not this time. She got a little trophy that had a cheerleader on it, she didn't like that much. Wants to break the hands off with the pom poms. They had fun and a little more practice before we head to Nashville.

Good night all, it is getting late.

October Already

October is just flying by. Here it is the 14th and I don't have any Halloween decorations up. The kids are too old for trick-or-treat. No time for it anyway.

The weather has been hot than freezing and than hot again, causing my throat to be all yucky. Wish it would just pick a temperature and stay that way for a bit. Never know what to wear, because whatever I pick is wrong, but enough of my bitching.
Haven't taken any new pictures of the pages I did this week so I will leave you with this on I did 5 weeks ago.
Thanks for coming to visit.

Busy Week

Trying to get a idea for the page I needed in Bad Girls contest just stressed me out. Could not sleep trying to think of what to do. Came up with this. I like it and everyone else like it, but I am no longer in the contest. This OK because scrapping should be relaxing and fun and not stressful, so I am OK with it.

Allison had her first dance contest at Jam Fest in Louisville, Kentucky and they placed 4Th. I think they should have been higher, but I am so proud of her. It was a long day for all of us. Her next one is in Tennessee on November 3.

Slept until 5:30 pm today, some may think how could I sleep so long, but I have needed this rest for a couple of weeks. Luckily, work has been getting out at regular time, otherwise, I think I would be DEAD.
Thanks for visiting

1st post

This is the first post on Blog This.

Yesterday I won a prize on Prima just for leaving a comment on a couple of the beautiful layouts they had. Not a bad thing, when I visit it on a daily basis.

Brandon has his Dr's appointment tomorrow and I think it will be a good one now that we have his medicine at the correct dose. His grades are getting better, except for English, but compared to last year it is a great improvement.

Both kids are making me proud, couldn't be a happier mom at this day and time. Making good choices and getting good grades. Cannot believe they are half way through their first quarter. Time sure does fly when you get older, or maybe when you kids make you older. Nothing like the stress of raising two teenagers to make you old and the loss of thinking capabilities.

Here is my latest page with Allison and my fur-baby Calvin. I got the supplies from my Secret Sister over at Scrappy Giraffe. She did an awesome job picking supplies out for me. I am 100% satisfied.

Thanks for dropping by.
